- 1. Florida, July 2009

Destination: Kissimmee, Lake Buena Vista, Orlando, Miami Beach, Walt Disn...
This entry was created on June 22nd, 2009, during the planning of this trip. This appears to be the only way to pre-plan on Yahoo's Trip Planner. My husband and I love to travel but like alot of people, the money we have to travel with, in this economy, is alot less then we travelled with a few years back. Fortunately, we chose to buy a weekly ownership at Orange Lake Country Club when the money was fat and we were able to pay it off in 1 year so now we just pay the yearly condo fees which are built into our yearly budget. Our vacation week is week 27 which falls in the first or second week of...

- 2. 2008 - Yucatan Peninsula in May
-
Destination: Cancun, Valladolid, Playa del Carmen, Playa Del Carmen, Chic...
We arrive in Cancun at 9:50 am. Our flight is on time. On the way out, we find a tourist information center. The representative tells us about discounted day tour that is associated with certain hotels. The more I talk to her, the more it sounds like a timeshare sales pitch. So, we get away and finally locate the ADO (express bus) ticket center at the end of building. The cost for an express bus between cancun airport and Playa Del Carmen is 80 Pesos. The bus promptly leaves Cancun airport at 10:45 am, just like what the schedule says. The trip takes approximately 1 hour. The view between Canc...

- 3. EUROPE: MAY 2010- DREAMS CAN COME TRUE
-
Destination: Paris, Rome, London, Amsterdam, Venice, Munich, Interlaken, ...
1 MONTH TO GO!!! It is truly hard to believe that in 1 month Martin, Jenny, Amber & I will be boarding a plane to go see Tina and ultimately take Europe by storm! You have to understand when Tina said she was moving to Paris for a year for work I knew this was my once in a lifetime opportunity. Not only will we be able to hang with T, but also we will be able to use Paris as our homebase to explore and discover the rest of Europe. For me traveling to Europe for my first time I must say that: "Truly dreams can come true!" As I write this with much anticipation and excitement, I must stop and sa...

Day 1 and 2 (May 11 - 12) was spent traveling from San Antonio to Beijing. We took flights from San Antonio to Houston, Houston to San Francisco, and San Francisco to Beijing. We left at about 3 a.m. in San Antonio and arrived in Beijing at 6 p.m. We had a pleasant trip for the most part. There was a flight we almost missed connecting from Houston to San Francisco but we made it! After we arrived at the Beijing airport, we went through customs and met with the rest of our tour group and the tour guide. It is a group of 14 and we will be with them for the next 10 days. We have met all but one w...

Destination: Auckland, Taupo, Nelson, Halls Gap, Tongariro National Park,...
Friday feb 5th - Sunday feb 7th Flight JFK - LAS- ACK We were finished with packing 5 min after our car service arrived to pick us up to the airport. What can i say, packing has never been our talent. 6 hrs to LA. Highlights of the flight: paparazzi in Los Angeles airport. 14 hrs to NZ by Qantas airline was surprisingly much easier. Our first 2 floor airplane, amazing meal, TV for each sit (with movies on demand and video games) and they even provide one time use toothbrush and toothpaste for each passenger. Definitely flying with Qantas again. Stayed in B&B in center of Auckland that looked l...

- 6. Magical Honeymoon April 2010
-
Destination: Lake Buena Vista, Orlando, Bay Lake
The day was finally here! APRIL 17, 2010. Ma!Les was so excited. I think we were more thrilled about the honeymoon than the wedding itself! Planning the wedding was exhausting, and Disney World was our rainbow at the end of the storm. Our flight out of Texas was about mid-morning, so we didn't need to rush at all. But we were so anxious to get to Orlando, that we couldn't wait to get on the plane. I had the entire trip planned from ADR's to FP's to an activity timeline. When it comes to planning vacations, I'm all about it. Once we got to the airport, the hubby and I grabbed a quick breakfast ...

- 8. Savannah, Couple's 3-Day Getaway
-
Destination: Savannah
Since we live near Atlanta, my husband and I drove to Savannah. It’s about a 4.5 hr. trip along a somewhat pretty highway. The scenery on the highway does not prepare you for the beautiful scenes in Savannah though! We Are There. When we first entered Savannah, we passed construction and later learned there used to be a parking lot in that spot. Originally, this spot was one of the first four squares of Savannah which they are now restoring--don't know whose idea it was to put a parking lot on top of a square, but thank goodness for the historical society! The parking lot will still be there, ...

- 9. western us June-July 08

Destination: Seattle, Portland, Sandpoint, San Francisco, Custer, Crescen...
We arrived at Mall of America last night. G loved the roller coasters and rides, we didn't do any shopping because we are planning a 2 nite stay on the way home. If you have TONS of money and don't know where to spend it, this is the place. The Rain Forest Cafe was different, we had never eaten at one, but VERY expensive and noisy. All in all the boy had a great time, the Radison was very nice and we left early Wednesday to drive to the edge of the Badlands. Today we drove all day, from very stormy Mpls to the edge of the Badlands in Kadoka, SD. We're staying at the Budget Host Sundowner, a bi...

Flight to San Francisco from Australia was uneventful although we experienced quite a bit of turbulence. Arrived around midday (still Saturday) and caught a taxi to our hotel - The Chelsea Motor Inn in the Marina District. We actually had a view of the Golden Gate Bridge from our room. Beautiful day - walked down to Fishermans Wharf area and everyone was taking advantage of the warm weather. Purchased the CityPass which gave us unlimited rides on public transport as well as a 1 hour cruise under the bridge and around Alcatraz Island and we managed to catch that. Had a clam chowder in a sourdou...
