- 2. Did someone say Road Trip...
-
Destination: London, Paris, Glasgow, Windsor, Salisbury, Bath
We’re in London , We’re in London- We made it safely! Gatwick Express was easy. Tube was way too crazy after having been on a plane all day/night. So we decided on a short taxi ride to the apartment. Visualize the little comedic scene where all of the clowns are stuffed in one car… that was us! The apartment is awesome. Picture may not be as easy as I thought. Hopefully we can get some on this sight before the end of the trip. Our day started quickly as we viewed the Parliment House, Big Ben, and changing of the guards. A lot of traveling on the Tube. We are enjoying every moment of it. We als...

- 3. Seeing The South Side Of The U.K.
-
Destination: London, Bath, Manchester, Brighton, Penzance, Bristol
I filed my tax returns today (with today being the operative word and only two hours old). I'm getting back around $850.00 which is a huge relief. I was actually somewhat worried if I'd be able to afford this trip at all. It's too late to back out of course since I've already bought the plane ticket and I would be guaranteed to have at least 600 pounds or so from the paycheck I'm getting the second day I'm in England (the joys of direct deposit) but that still figures out to only about 50 pounds per day. With train pass already paid for (or at least will be paid for shortly) and hostel only ab...

- 4. Backpack Korea
-
Destination: Seoul, Jeju, Busan, South Korea
The Hallasan hike to the summit was marvellous. Though it's a 9-hour tough hike, it's really rewarding and challenging. At Busan, one should eat seafood or at least fish. Going to Jagalchi market to eat seafood will thus be a must coz of the fresh catch that is reeled in everyday. I only managed 'eel-grilling' at Jagalchi market, given my schedule. I really would like to stay another day at the city but alas...I've made reservation for my DMZ tour on the next day. There's definitely more things to do at Busan! The Hotteok at Insadong is simply finger-licking. There are two stalls selling the s...

- 6. England
-
Destination: London, Liverpool, Windsor
Salim...

- 7. 2007 - Autumn in Spain
-
Destination: Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Granada, Segovia, Cordoba, Spain...
Prologue: When I planned for my trip, I got a lot of useful information from trip blogs that I found on the Internet. Hence, I choose to write a detailed journal as a way to give back to the community. I envision this journal to be an additional resource for people who plan to visit the cities we are visiting in Spain. What you'll find here would be mostly factual information and our impression of the hotels, restaurants and services that we had, or of the attractions that we saw. If I don't put any comment on any item in the itinerary, it means either we had to skip it, or the description fro...

- 8. July 2007 Trip: NC to NY (Baltimore and NY)
-
Destination: new york, New York, Baltimore, New york, Elizabeth, Arlingto...
We left home in Sneads Ferry, NC at 6 am. We arrived in the Arlington/Alexandria, VA area by 3 pm. We use to live here a few years ago when my husband worked at the Pentagon so we went to some of our favorite places. First we stopped in Pentagaon City and ate at Chevy's. Then went inside the Borders Bookstore there. Next we walked accross the street to the Fashion City mall. After that we drove into DC. At night the city is very easy to drive around. It was about 7 pm by that time and the museums were closed. We did get to show the boys The Capital and Washington Monument. We just parked the v...

- 10. 12 days in England and Wales
-
Destination: London, Bath, Oxford, Stratford Upon Avon, Chipping Campden,...
Friday, October 2, 2009 Our flight was from St. Louis was great-although rather long. We did enjoy our stopover in Rekjavek, only wish we had stayed overnight and gotten to see more than the airport! Found ouir way to our hotel with no problems either. The Blandford hotel is very nice, however the room was so small you could hardly walk around the foot of the bed!! But it was just fine, we didn't spend much time there anyway... Saturday, October 3 This trip I was finally able to see The Templar Church, and I was not dissapointed at all. We were lucky in that the Rector of the church was giving...
