This journal is intended mostly as an excuse to post pictures for our friends, family and most importantly our unborn child Optimus. I will, however, try to highlight some of the must-see and wish-we-did-different aspects of the trip, in case some random person is trying to get ideas for a similar trip. After waking up in the wee hours of the morning to get to our favorite airport in Long Beach, we arrived in Seattle and took the Gray Line shuttle to our hotel. Day 1 – Saturday – June 20th …..and we’re off to Portland Maine today June 20, 2009. A rocky start… This was the first time we have ever been paged at the airport with “last call for boarding for K&RS!” Yes, that last email from Airtran seemed to get un-noticed – the one where they moved the flight up an hour. We received a couple emails which indicated the flight changed within minutes of the scheduled time but then I guess R stopped looking at them.
