Packing and Boston Logan Airport Today is the day my mom and I are leaving for Scotland for a nineteen day vacation! I took today off of work and I spent it running around like mad! I dislocated my elbow on August 1st in an ATV accident so this will be an interesting trip. I am just out of the Bledsoe brace that I had to wear 24/7 and now my arm is weak and sore and I have to be careful not to lift anything heavy. The taxi arrived and the trip to the Harrogate train station was £4. The train to York was eight minutes late, but we were thankful that it wasn’t too crowded and we were able to get seats and stow our luggage comparatively easily. We had to cross the tracks to get to our next train in York . We tried to get the lift, but we had in our minds that we had to go up and the lift was only going down, so we thought it was malfunctioning (we now know that there is a tunnel to get to the other set of tracks, so we would have had to take the lift down). Steve (my bf at the time), Alice (Steve's sister) and I (Michelle) took a fabulous 25 day trip to Greece ! We planned the trip so that we would split our time between an islands vacation and time to spend with Steve and Alice’s family who live in Greece . Our flight landed in Athens and we spent 2 days there, took a ferry to Ios for 4 days and took another ferry to Santorini for 4 days. We then flew from Santorini to Salonika in the north of Greece and rented a car to drive to the village of Mikrokastro , where Steve and Alice’s maternal relatives live. taxi to hotel not bad 55 pounds. taxi had plenty of storage for bags. Hotel is near tons of halal food. Malay food near there not great. Hotel had some grocery shops nearby which was good. hop on hop off was fine, but in the morning it was rain which made it impossible to see anything. Would have loved a translator into normal english with the tour guides heavy british accent. Tower was fine, didn't go on the cruise... a lot of walking. tiring. noodle noodle was good. madam t was good. simply chicken was in a muslim area. Interesting ... mr jerk was very good but large portions. Dirty dancing ...

Brisbane to Brunei, Wednesday September 17. We started off with a bit of drama at the Brisbane Airport. We arrived with plenty of time to spare so we sat . As you taxi to the airport terminal it appears to be small, but reasonably modern. But once you down to balance out some of our luggage (one bag was slightly overweight). After a few minutes we wandered over to the Royal Brunei check-in. Surprisingly, there was no queue at all. Monday we woke late in the morning and began packing.
